My parents of Filipino ancestry came to Hawaii to work for Pioneer Mill Co, Sugar Plantation. I grew up here in Lahaina and attended Sacred Hearts School and graduated from Lahainaluna High School, the oldest school west of the Rockies. Dancing and cooking is my favorite past-time hobby. At fifteen, my first job was as a salesclerk for Ikeda’s – a clothing store. I was able to buy me a moped, sold it and bought me a VW Bug. After high-school, I was able to work in the reservations dept. of the Sheraton Maui Hotel and also got married. We have 4 boys who were very active in all kind of sports and now they have their own families. At the present time, I have 9 grandchildren. Some of my work experiences, included Territorial Savings, Whalers Condo, Maui Marriott Hotel, Kapalua Bay Hotel, Pioneer Mill Co. (till they closed), Kaanapali Estates Coffee, Brewer Chemical, Wailea Golf Management, Nai’a Properties and Kuleana Vacation Rentals. And now am a proud member to be part of the Harris Hawaii team.
